Working with Build America, Buy America Compliant Products

The Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) requires that projects utilizing federal funds use manufactured products and construction materials sourced and produced in the United Sates. Now BABA can apply to local governments seeking federal funding for infrastructure projects such as highways, public transportation and airports. This creates a need to understand BABA compliancy in order to request funding and work with partners.

MoboTrex certified its wired cabinets, empty cabinets, poly vehicle signals – SG series, aluminum vehicle and pedestrian signals, and backplates as BABA compliant.

The Office of Management and Budget is currently issuing a final rule on the implementation of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) with an effective date of October 23, 2023.
