Antaira’s PoE Patented Technology
Antaira has patented a hot-swapping protection technology feature, for Power over Ethernet which is referred to as Safe PoE Disconnect, and is found on many of Antaira’s bt PoE switches.
The Safe PoE Disconnect feature ensures the protection of a high-power PoE network when operating high-power sourcing equipment. This allows an engineer to safely disable the power being sent across the Ethernet cable before disconnecting the cable at either end.
This technology feature can be activated on a PoE switch by switching off the PoE port before pulling out the cable, deactivating the PoE power.
