DAVENPORT, Iowa—MoboTrex, a leading manufacturer of signalized intersection systems and distributor of traffic control products and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) solutions, today announced the acquisition of RGA, LLC, a Mid-Atlantic traffic systems distributor, from Falcon Affiliates.
Falcon Affiliates is a private investment firm that provides capital and expertise to growing enterprises in the manufacturing, distribution and business services sectors. The board of directors of both companies unanimously approved the acquisition agreement and closed the deal today. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed and the acquisition is effective immediately.
Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Richmond, Va., RGA serves the ITS and transportation engineering markets in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and the District of Columbia. RGA will join MoboTrex’s existing company-owned distribution arm, MoboTrex Distribution, which provides ITS solutions to customers in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois and Texas.

From traffic controllers and detection equipment to intelligent traffic systems, RGA and MoboTrex Distribution represent many of the same manufacturers, including MoboTrex Manufacturing’s flagship Eagle brand of cabinets and signals. In November of 2013, MoboTrex acquired a division of Siemens’ traffic control systems and manufactures these Eagle products at its Austin, Texas, operation.
