At MoboTrex we have a motto of “People First – Experts to the Next Level”. The past few weeks during the COVID-19 outbreak in our country one of our employees has taken this motto to heart.
When the impact to the availability of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients hit the media, Terry Kiser, Sales Engineer, remembered that he had quite a stash of surgical masks in his possession. As a proud lifelong hunter and outdoors-man, he and his father would melt lead to cast their own bullets. He remembered that part of that process being the safety precautions they took, including the wearing surgical face masks. He was able to find 2,125 masks and turned them all over to the local health department in Pendleton County, West Virginia.
While state highway workers are currently on stay-put orders in West Virginia, Terry is also getting his exercise by picking up litter from several miles of roadway, on his own time, near his home. Having seen how clean he kept cabinets while working for VDOT, we can assure you that the county roads surrounding his home are as clean as they have ever been!
Paul Thompson, VP Mid-Atlantic Distribution, said, “These personal qualities find their way into him performing his role at MoboTrex every day and a big reason I would list Terry as someone I want in the foxhole with me when a battle breaks out!”
We recognize Terry Kiser for exemplifying MoboTrex’s values and being a wonderful example in his community.
