When it comes to helping transportation agencies and contractors get more from their infrastructure, Brent Katauskas is always looking for new ways to improve traffic control hardware.
This is particularly important as customers implement Intelligent Transportation Systems and gain access to the immense amount of data found in a network.
Brent has spent the last 10 years in Austin, Texas, at the MoboTrex traffic signal and cabinet manufacturing plant. He served in a variety of engineering and product management roles. Today he is Dealer Development Manager, working with customers across the U.S. and Canada. He frequently visits with transportation agencies to better understand their configurations and needs.
His technical background lends itself to solving customer problems. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, and a member of the International Municipal Signal Association and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He is working to develop new national criteria for the ATC cabinet, serving on an Institute of Transportation Engineers committee for ITS Cabinet – Version 2 standards.
A Chicago native, Brent loves all the city has to offer: sports teams, food and classic rock bands. He especially misses the pizza, but has grown to love the Tex-Mex and barbecue that are famous in his new home.
